Meet the Team

carrie_new2.jpg I can’t believe that the summer is already halfway over. As we are quickly approaching a new semester of traveling, I wanted to let everyone know the new changes. Carrie Rule has been with our team for the last two years and God has used her greatly in our ministry. Carrie is going to serve this next year on the island of St. Vincent with the Baptist Bible College of the Caribbean as a missionary helping train the future islanders for the full time ministry. It is so exciting for us to see God continue to work in and through her. She needed to raise around $3,000 support for the school year and she has already received close to $2,000. Please prayerfully consider giving toward her year in service as a missionary. All donations are given through her local church. (Make checks payable to Volusia County Baptist Church with missionary Carrie Rule in the memo line).

The address is:
Volusia County Baptist Church
261 South Orange Avenue
Orange City, FL 32763-5915

Joe Kopp, Aaron Boyce, and Kellie McAllister will continue traveling with us this next year, but we would like to introduce you to a couple of new team members. Please take a moment to get acquainted with and pray for the new team members.

Kathy Flack: Team Secretary  10teamkathy.jpg

Kathy Flack was born in Central Florida and grew up in Northern Virginia. She was raised in a Christian family and had heard the gospel story many times from school, from church, and from her family, but she realized that the choice of accepting Christ as Savior was hers alone to make; and at the age of six, she was saved.
Growing up, she loved to read missionary biographies like those about Gladys Aylward, Mary Slessor, and John and Betty Stam. These were an important influence on her life and gave her a longing to be used of God in similar ways. In junior high, she began to understand where she was spiritually and where God wanted her to be after hearing a sermon series from Proverbs on the wise, the simple, and the foolish man. It was then that she realized that she would not automatically become a godly Christian even though she had a good family, went to a good church and school, and had good friends. She realized the choices she made everyday had consequences whether good or bad. Through this and the many examples God placed around her, she began to seek God through daily prayer and Bible study knowing this was the only way her relationship with God could grow.
While at Pensacola Christian College, the Lord provided opportunities for Kathy to be able to help teach a Sunday school, to help with Bible clubs, as well as to work in outreaches to nursing homes and a juvenile detention center. She graduated in 2010 with a Bible degree in Youth Ministries.
Kathy has served at Northland Camp for the past three summers, and through the different ministry opportunities there, God has given her a heart for young people and has been teaching her what it means to trust Him completely and to have a close walk with Him.

Kaytlynn Wood: Music Secretary 10teamkaytlynn.jpg

Kaytlynn Wood grew up in Shannon, Illinois where her dad was pastor of Shannon Baptist Church. At age four, she got in big trouble after pitching a fit at church. That night while lying in bed God convicted her of her sin, and all by herself, she called on Him to save her. Within a few years after her salvation, God gave her a burden for the ministry, and she dedicated her life to full time Christian service. From junior high on she stayed very active in the ministries of her church. The summer after her senior year in high school, God called her family to Grace Baptist Church in Dacula, Georgia. Six weeks after the move, she started her freshman year at Bob Jones University. God used this time in school to teach her two life long lessons; no matter how busy life becomes, it’s never too busy to be in God’s Word daily, and it’s never too busy to be involved in ministry.
At age four, Kaytlynn also started taking violin and piano lessons. Her parents’ goal was never to train their four daughters to be professional musicians, but instead to nurture gifts that could be used for the Lord. They were faithful in having their girls play in church, at nursing homes, at funerals, and in hospitals while continually reminding them that they were playing solely for the purpose of glorifying God. While studying music at Bob Jones University, God started to give Kaytlynn a love for writing and arranging music. In May of 2010 Kaytlynn completed her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance.
Kaytlynn met the Frazors while working in the kitchen at Northland during the summer of 2009. From the time she was a little girl she had dreamed of traveling on an evangelistic team and is very excited to see how God is going to continue to change her heart through this new ministry.

Jennifer Davenport: School Teacher

Jennifer Davenport grew up in SC, where her parents work at Bob Jones University. She heard the Gospel often while growing up in a Christian family and through church and school. Her dad led her to the Lord when she was six years old. She then got baptized at the age of eight. The fruit of Christ was evident in her life through her growing up years as she was sensitive to the Spirit and developed a desire to witness to others. Jennifer struggled with doubting her salvation at times, especially during her junior year of high school. The summer before her senior year of high school, Jennifer went to CIT at the Wilds Christian Camp. It was there that she settled her salvation. Jennifer learned that she was not saved merely by praying the right prayer, but by placing her full trust in Christ. God will never deny anyone, but He promises to save all who call on Him.

God really started to grow Jennifer when she began to work at Northland Camp in 2004. She has served at Northland Camp the past seven summers as a waitress, junior and teen camp counselor, and a program team member. She loves camp work. Three years ago at camp she surrendered her life to the Lord for full time ministry, not knowing where God would have her in the future.

Jennifer graduated from Bob Jones University in 2007 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, she traveled with the National Hoops team under Evangelist Mike Washer. She then substitute taught in the Greenville, SC County School System. For the last two years she has taught first grade at Westgate Christian School in Spartanburg, SC.

God has done a great work in her heart this summer in moving her desires on from teaching in a classroom and into another ministry. She was so excited that God led her to travel on the Frazor Evangelistic Team this fall. She has known the Frazors ever since coming to work at Northland Camp. They have had a huge impact on her life. She is excited to see that God has given her the desire of her heart to travel and is excited to see what God will do this year. It is such a joy to serve Jesus Christ!

A Fight to the Finish
untitled_event_-_1.jpg

Dear friends,
Every year there is a battle to finish off our semester strong before transitioning to work at camp. Traveling each week tends to wear a person down. There are always physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual trials. Praise God for His grace! Paul said that he labored more abundantly than they all because of the grace of God that was in him. God’s grace is sufficient!

As we concluded our time in Washington State, our last stop was at Lincoln Park Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Ernsberger. Our team was the first evangelistic meeting with their new pastor. It was a great week in Wenatchee. We enjoyed getting to know all the people in the church. The week’s highlight was the Thursday night Cola War with many visiting teens from the community. We pray that the gospel seed will continue to germinate in the hearts and lives of all those who heard the gospel message. At the end of the week, Pastor and his daughter took us on a hike to Saddle Rock that overlooks the city. It reminded me of the time when Christ overlooked Jerusalem and wept for the city. May God help us all to have such a burden.

ernsbergers.jpg aaronjoewenatchee.jpg a_fight_to_the_finish_-_08.jpg a_fight_to_the_finish_-_11.jpg

The next stop was Tigard, Oregon, which is a suburb in Portland. Pastor Ben Jaqueth started the church and through the years it has grown into a very large ministry with a Christian school. They recently completed a beautiful new gymnatorium that creatively turns from a gymnasium to a modern day church sanctuary that looks great! Pastor Jaquith is a well-rounded student of the Word who has taken and led trips to the Holy Land. As he continues to serve the people at the Westgate Baptist Church, it was our privilege to co-labor with him. That week culminated with a Friday night teen event that brought out about 75 teens. It was a great finish to another wonderful week.

From Oregon, we traveled to Meridian, Idaho. The trip was breathtaking! God’s creation is so diverse and gorgeous. Meridian is located in a valley that is surrounded by mountains in the distance. The week was not a normal week for us. We love to do things outside the box. This week our team did an Outreach Conference. This is an equipping conference on how to reach your world for Christ. This is an exciting opportunity for us because it utilizes our gifts to help churches for years to come. One of the strengths of Fellowship Baptist Church is the strong family atmosphere that you notice when visiting. Pastor Jeff Estes started the church around seven years ago and it has grown to around 200 people on a Sunday morning. A significant part of the growth is internal. Between Pastor Estes and his assistant, Pastor Best, they have 16 children (Pastor Estes has 6 and Pastor Best has 10). Amazing! Our prayer for Fellowship Baptist is that they would continue in to give out and live out the gospel.

a_fight_to_the_finish_-_10.jpg pastorestes.jpg shoshonefalls.jpg joehumphries.jpg

Our next stop was only about two hours away in a town called Burley, ID. Pastor Robert Humphries is new to the pastorate, but not new to the area. Faith Baptist Church is privileged to have this man come to serve in their ministry. Pastor Humphries is a military man who was stationed in Guam and attending Harvest Baptist Church. I met him a few years back and it is exciting to see how God has directed him into the full-time vocational ministry. Through some divine circumstances, our team was able to come and minister with our new friends. It was a powerful week with visitors each night. On Wednesday night there was a good number of teens for the Cola War and many responded to the gospel message. We left very encouraged while once again praising God for His saving grace!

Our last stop for the semester was in Knox, Indiana. Yes, it was a three day, 1,600 mile travel to get to Knox. Bible Baptist Church is pastored by James Adcock. I met James when he was a youth pastor and I was running the Cola Wars on the Pettit Team. This was our second time ministering with Bible Baptist Church. Our week began on Mother’s Day and finished on Thursday. It was an exciting beginning with souls saved on Sunday morning. As we labored through the week, it was evident that God was at work in the lives of many people. On Thursday, our team was able to go with the church staff to Pastor’s house for lunch and a relaxing time of fellowship. After lunch, and go-carting around his house, our team geared up for our last teen outreach for the semester. It was a great culmination to a wonderful week with Bible Baptist Church. Early Friday morning, the Frazor team went their separate ways to see family and friends before coming to work at Northland Camp.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:24, “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run that ye may obtain.” For the sake of the gospel and for the glory of God, may the Lord impart grace to you in the race for souls.

For the Gospel,

Faithful Men

faithfulmenborder.jpg
Dear friends,

For the last couple of months our team has been traveling in the pacific northwest where churches are few and far between. It excites me to see how God is at work in these churches and how He is using faithful men.

Early in March, our team had the privilege of ministering in music and preaching at the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship of the northwest. This fellowship is headed up by Dr. Tom Nieman and Pastor John Stima. Dr. Nieman has served as pastor and mentor to so many of the men in the northwest. The men attending the conference have all shown the faithfulness of Christ through the difficulties they face on a constant basis in ministry.

faithfulmen03.jpg faithfulmen02.jpg faithfulmen01.jpg faithfulmen05.jpg

Following the FBF conference our team headed to Anacortes, WA to serve Pastor Tom Parr. This is our second time in a week of meetings with Cornerstone. Tom and his wife Naomi planted the church about four years ago and the church runs between 50 and 60 people on a regular basis. This number is up significantly from two years ago when we held meetings with them. One night after the service, a girl from the children’s program was under conviction of her need for salvation. She talked with her parents and came to Christ that evening. It was evident that God was working in the hearts of people both in and out of the services. As the church continues to grow, please pray that God will provide a permanent facility in which they can meet.

After Anacortes, we traveled down to Seattle into a suburb called Kent. Galilee Baptist Church is pastored by Steve Hicks. Pastor Hicks spent 21 years as pastor in Wenatchee, WA before God called him to Galilee. It was very encouraging to see God’s Word working in the hearts of the people in the church and school. We saw many children come to Christ through the school chapels. We had only planned on two children’s chapels, but the staff encouraged us to continue with the children’s chapels because of the response of the kids. Praise God! It was a great week of ministry with the adults and teens as well. God blessed us with good attendance and response in the services. We greatly appreciate the work of the pastoral team and the faithfulness of the congregation.

faithfulmen04.jpg faithfulmen06.jpg faithfulmen07.jpg faithfulmen08.jpg

Our next week of meetings was in Sedro-Woolley, WA at the First Baptist Church. Pastor Rick Coursen has been pastoring First Baptist for the last ten years. For 21 years prior he pastored in the state of Michigan. Here is another faithful man that is dear to my heart. As my father-in-law, I have seen his heart for God and others as a faithful shepherd. He and his wife Carol continue to stand strong in the faith through the midst of trials and adversities. God is using them in a powerful way in the church. During that week we had great attendance and saw 11 people come to Christ. One man, after coming to Christ on a Sunday morning, dumped over $200 worth of alcohol down the drain. He later told me that he knew needed to remove the temptation from out of his house. What a testimony! When God speaks we need to obey. Please continue to pray for First Baptist Church as they follow up on all those who came to Christ. One integral person in the follow-up is Pastor Steve Pabody, Rick’s assistant. Steve and his wife Sarah have been there for just over a year. They play such an important role. Please pray for them as they continue to develop the youth ministry in that church.

faithfulmen09.jpg faithfulmen13.jpg faithfulmen11.jpg faithfulmen12.jpg
As our team continues to minister in churches out west, I am constantly reminded of 1 Corinthians 4:2, “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”

In Christ,
Jeremy Frazor

From East to West

banner.jpgDear friends,

This semester, our travels have taken us from east coast to west coast. We started off in Greenville, SC with Sunday meetings at Grace Baptist Fellowship. Pastor Stacey Peek recently planted this church in the North Main Street area of Greenville and is seeking to reach out to that community with the Gospel. God allowed us to be an encouragement and spiritual help to the believers at Grace through preaching, music, and fellowship. The single team members were also invited to a College and Career class activity after the evening service. They spent the evening eating pizza, playing games, and enjoying a good time getting to know the group.

After a couple days of music practice at Calvary Baptist in Simpsonville, SC, we made our way north to Creedmoor, NC where we held a Wednesday night meeting with Bible Baptist Church.  Our team was able to provide music and preaching for the evening service and run the children’s Awana Club.  We enjoyed times of fellowship with Pastor Greg Allison and Youth Pastor Keith Howze and their families. The church staff and members were a great encouragement to our team! We used the next couple of days there as a time of music preparation for the semester. On Friday morning, we were also able to minister through music and preaching at a women’s rescue mission in the area. It was incredible to see how God is changing the lives of the women in that home!

peeks.jpg awanapic.jpg md_missioninc.jpg rescuemission.jpg

After we left Creedmoor, we drove north to Frederick, MD where we ministered at People’s Baptist Church and Frederick Christian Academy. We had Sunday and Wednesday services at the church and held daily chapel services at the Christian school. Joe, Aaron, and myself preached to the teens and children during the chapel sessions. I also did quite a few Tao Kwon Do demonstrations during the chapel services. The Lord saved some and changed many hearts as they surrendered themselves to the will and service of God. We were especially blessed by the ministry of Pastor Kent Ramler, Nathan Kirsop, Brad Parker and their families. We thank the Lord for their dedication to promote the gospel in Maryland. On Friday, our team went into nearby Washington D.C. and spent the day touring a little bit of the city. Kellie’s brother, Shayne, lives and works in the area and he arranged for us to have a Capitol Building tour. We were glad to be inside most of the day because of the below freezing wind chill outside!

As we started to head west, we came through Dublin, OH and held Sunday services at Berean Bible Church with Associate Pastor David Kuntz. The church treated us to a delicious pasta and salad luncheon on the church grounds where we were able to build relationships with the church people. During the afternoon, we were able to sing and play for a Russian service that was meeting in Berean’s church building. It was a great encouragement to see a group of Russian believers excited to start a church ministry and grow in the knowledge of God. Their love for God and His Word was very evident as we ministered with them.

We left Dublin and started our long trek westward. It took us almost an entire week of travel to eventually get to California. We drove two long days and arrived at Northwest Baptist Church in Albuquerque, NM late Tuesday night. We spent Wednesday working at the church, preparing music, and running errands. Later that day we enjoyed a pizza fellowship with church and provided music, preaching, and a children’s program that evening.  After spending a week with them last spring, it was a great encouragement to be with the Snyder’s once again. We praise the Lord for the faithfulness of Pastor Snyder in seeking to reach the people of Albuquerque.

fredericktable.jpg missionincoh.jpg sam_0311.jpg synder.jpg

On Thursday we left Albuquerque and continued to drive west towards California. We stopped for lunch in Gallup, NM to visit with Pastor Kleeberger and his family for a couple of hours. It was good to see them again after ministering with their church in the spring of 2009. That night we drove to Sedona, AZ where we stayed for the night. We spent Friday morning driving around the Sedona area viewing the huge rock formations and beautiful scenery. We saw unbelievable creation that declared the great glory of our God! We spent Friday evening through Saturday afternoon at Camp Ironwood in Newberry Springs, CA. It was exciting to be able to spend time with former team member Jon Bladine and see how God is using him at Ironwood.

We continued our journey and arrived at Victory Baptist Church in California City on Saturday evening.  We held meetings at Victory on Sunday morning and evening, and then spent Monday and Tuesday preparing for the Cola War planned for Wednesday night. The Lord was so good to allow us to get into an area high school during the lunch hour to invite teens to the Cola War. We ended up having over 50 teens come to the Wednesday night outreach. After a great time playing games and eating pizza, a gospel message was given to the group. The Spirit was doing a unique work to save souls and provoke spiritual questions from many of the teens. We pray that God will continue to draw others into a relationship with Christ in California City. We thank God for Pastors Ron Smith and Rob Trautman and their families. They are truly dedicated to the cause of Christ in CA City. Their lives are an example of faithfulness and zeal in reaching the lost with the gospel.

Then we started our long drive up through California towards Oregon. We stopped Thursday and met up with long-time friends Ian and Gretchen Pruden. Gretchen took us to the Reagan Library & Museum in Simi Valley. We enjoyed the day seeing the museum and spending time with Gretchen and her 18-month-old daughter, Landen. Later that evening, we met up with Ian and were involved in ministering at a Bible study group associated with his church. We were blessed to meet the believers there and we came away greatly encouraged as they spent time praying for our team’s ministry. We spent Friday and Saturday driving to Eugene, OR. We were stopped for about five hours at a Ford dealership with some truck problems, but God provided a fix and we continued to move northward. We got into the Sacramento area very late, stayed the night for only a few hours, and hit the road very early the next morning to finish our drive to Eugene.

sam_0592.jpg from_east_to_west_-_13.jpg outdoorcacitycw.jpg reagan1.jpg

We arrived at Westside Baptist Church late Saturday afternoon. The single team members spent time with the teens that evening and my wife and I were involved in the church’s Valentine’s banquet. We held services at Westside from Sunday to Wednesday during which we ran a children’s program, teen program, and adult services. Through the Cola Wars outreach, God miraculously brought a few teens into His kingdom and He planted the seed of the Word of God in the hearts of many who attended. We were privileged to work alongside Pastors Greg Kaminski, Nathan Damm, and Dan Kaminski during our time at Westside. They were so faithful in laboring with us to make the weeknight services and the Thursday Cola War a great success. The Kaminski family has been serving God in Eugene for over 30 years and their lives are a testimony to the joy that comes from being fully surrendered to the call of God.

We spent our day off on Friday at the Oregon coast. We stopped at many different points along our drive to hike and see extraordinary views of the Pacific Ocean. We saw the incredible creativity and beauty of our God as we watched the sun set over the Pacific from a point called Cape Perpetua. It was absolutely breathtaking! We are so thankful for the places God allows us to see along our travels so that we gain a greater glimpse of our omnipotent Creator!

kaminskis.jpg outdooreugenecw.jpg oregoncoast.jpg stimas.jpg

We finished off the month of February at Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe, WA. We did evening meetings Monday through Friday and held a Cola War on Thursday night. God truly worked in hearts through the nightly services, faithfully changing His people from the inside out. God brought many unsaved teens to the Cola War through the efforts of the church teens in particular. It was great to see their desire to see lost friends hear the gospel message. We were also privileged to get to know Pastor John Stima and his family throughout the week in Monroe. Their lives exhibited a true spirit of humility as they served and worked along with our team. We pray that the Lord will continue to use the Stimas in mighty ways as they continue in faithfulness to Him!

We ask you to continue lifting us before the throne of grace over the next few weeks and months. Starting February 27, the team began two weeks of spring break. Carrie and Kellie are spending their break in Sedro-Woolley, WA sightseeing and resting, Aaron flew home to Greenville, SC to spend time with family and friends, and Joe is on a mission trip to Brazil under Baptist-Mid Missions. Misha and I will have a week to get away for our tenth anniversary while her parents take care of Tommy, Corey, and Jayden. Pray for physical and spiritual refreshment for the team!

In Christ,
Jeremy Frazor

Pray for St. Vincent
stvincent01.jpg

Dear praying friends,

The gospel ministry is a continual battle that is fought for the souls of men. It is exciting to see God at work in the lives of people all over the world. Every year after thanksgiving we take a mission trip outside of the U.S. The Lord took us this year to St. Vincent, an island in the Caribbean that is located just north of South America. The population is just over 110,000 people. About 50 years ago some missionaries, with a heart to train nationals, started local churches and a Bible college. God has blessed the work in St. Vincent through the years; now there is a fellowship of 14 conservative Bible believing churches.

stvincent05.jpg

Our team this year consisted of The Frazor Evangelistic Team (excluding Tommy and Corey), and our friend Anna Townsend. Our contact for the trip was John and Sarah Fieck from Northland. They had been working in the ministry at Northland for a number of years when God led them to the Island of St. Vincent to work with the Bible College. Tim Michalek is also a friend of ours who came with the Fiecks to work alongside them in the college. We arrived in St. Vincent on Saturday, two days after thanksgiving, and were picked up by our friends and made our way to the Bible College. That night we had a teen rally with Calvary Baptist Church, pastored by Desmond Fessal. The rally went well and it was a great introduction to the church for our team. Sunday morning we ministered in the same church with music and preaching. One thing that we noticed from the beginning of our trip is that it was going to be hot, really hot! After the morning service we prepped for the week of open air meetings beginning that evening and lasting through Friday night. Each night we did special music, gave testimonies, and preached the gospel. Sunday through Tuesday Aaron, Joe, and myself preached the gospel while our girls gave testimonies. Wednesday through Friday we used a Tae Kwon Do demonstration as a way to gather crowds and preach the gospel. These open air meetings will forever be embedded in our hearts. While each one was preaching, the other team members walked about sharing Jesus. We met all kinds of people, including drunks, and drug addicts, and were pretty well received. During the daytime we were able to minister to the Bible College students and hold daily Bible clubs in the public schools around the island. Our week was full of evangelistic opportunities.

stvincent09.jpg

On Saturday night, we traveled to a village across the Island to minister with another local church. Pastor Willis Hackshaw is a Vincencian who grew up in the village, and later got his ministerial training from Northland International University. Saturday night our team led some fun competitions, sang, and preached. I did another Tae Kwon Do demonstration and preached the gospel. The place was packed and you could sense God at work in hearts. It was powerful! Sunday morning, our team ministered the Word through music and preaching. That small trip was an eye opener that once again burdened us for the people of St. Vincent. Our final meeting was on Sunday evening with another great church. God was at work in all the meetings and we praise Him for all the great things that He did and will continue to do.

On Monday our team went with the missionaries John and Sarah Fieck, Tim Michalek, and Allen Hill on a boat trip around part of the island. The fellowship was sweet, and the beauty of God’s creation was amazing! I will take away many things from this trip, but there is one thing that I will never forget. It is the faith of our missionary friends, John, Sarah, and Tim. They went to serve in the Bible College and minister in local churches without going on deputation. They went to St. Vincent by faith, knowing that God led them there. They live on almost no monthly income, while slowly gaining support from people and churches in the U.S. I love to see people jump out in faith! I know God is teaching them so much and rewarding their faith. Would you be willing to leave everything behind, and by faith, move to another country with no income?

As we arrived back in the states, my prayers go out to the people of St. Vincent who are laboring together for the gospel. Please pray for St. Vincent:
1. Local churches to grow in grace as they minister the gospel and reach their Island for Christ
2. Baptist Bible College of the Caribbean as they train students from many surrounding countries for the gospel ministry
3. Missionaries John and Sarah Fieck, and Tim Michalek to gain prayer and financial support
4. Two Bible College students who are still unaccounted for in Haiti

Our team is so thankful for your continual prayer support of our ministry. Please keep us in prayer as we have begun our spring semester.

In Christ,

Jeremy Frazor
