School Teacher

Jennifer Davenport grew up in SC, where her parents work at Bob Jones University. She heard the Gospel often while growing up in a Christian family and through church and school. Her dad led her to the Lord when she was six years old. She then got baptized at the age of eight. The fruit of Christ was evident in her life through her growing up years as she was sensitive to the Spirit and developed a desire to witness to others. Jennifer struggled with doubting her salvation at times, especially during her junior year of high school. The summer before her senior year of high school, Jennifer went to CIT at the Wilds Christian Camp. It was there that she settled her salvation. Jennifer learned that she was not saved merely by praying the right prayer, but by placing her full trust in Christ. God will never deny anyone, but He promises to save all who call on Him.

God really started to grow Jennifer when she began to work at Northland Camp in 2004. She has served at Northland Camp the past seven summers as a waitress, junior and teen camp counselor, and a program team member. She loves camp work. Three years ago at camp she surrendered her life to the Lord for full time ministry, not knowing where God would have her in the future.

Jennifer graduated from Bob Jones University in 2007 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, she traveled with the National Hoops team under Evangelist Mike Washer. She then substitute taught in the Greenville, SC County School System. For the last two years she has taught first grade at Westgate Christian School in Spartanburg, SC.

God has done a great work in her heart this summer in moving her desires on from teaching in a classroom and into another ministry. She was so excited that God led her to travel on the Frazor Evangelistic Team this fall. She has known the Frazors ever since coming to work at Northland Camp. They have had a huge impact on her life. She is excited to see that God has given her the desire of her heart to travel and is excited to see what God will do this year. It is such a joy to serve Jesus Christ!
